　　急诊室里，作为无助的病人，你需要注意些什么呢？

　　第一，在去急诊室的路上，不要忘记打电话通知你的个人（家庭）医生。

　　芝加哥大学的Beiser医生说，急诊室的医生会认真听取你的个人医生的意见，因为你的个人医生是最熟悉你的健康情况的人，而你的个人医生也能及时了解到你的情况。

　　第二，除非真有必要，否则不要叫救护车。

　　Mason医生说，有的病人以为上了救护车，工作人员就能直接把你送到医生那，其实这是个误解。如果工作人员看到你还能走路的话，他也许会让你先下担架，再让你到候诊室去排队等待。

　　第三，不要保持沉默。

　　Sayah医生说，急诊室里有些护士负责决定谁最需要帮助，谁不太需要。如果你觉得护士忽视了你的话，不要保持沉默，要跟护士说，“我需要见负责人！”

　　第四，不要动气，不要撒谎。

　　Bozeman医生说，有的病人可能会撒谎，比如把症状描绘得比事实严重，以为这样一来，就能得到更快速的治疗，这其实会适得其反。

　　“有的病人跟我们说，他们胸闷、胸疼，甚至说他们心脏病发作，而事实上他们不过想拿止痛片来止住慢性背痛。医护人员一旦发现，肯定会不高兴，可能对你的态度就不会很好。”

　　第五：不要忘记打电话。

　　如果情况变得很糟糕，而还是没人帮助你的话，四周找找有没有医院的电话，拨0，找医院的负责人。Sayah医生说，“即便是最小的医院，也会安排人24小时值班负责医院运作。他们的工作就是让病人满意，让事情得到解决。”
